Oh hello.

Sorry, I haven’t been blogging much lately.  Summer months are just so busy…  Busy with photography and insanely busy with family activities.

So, even though I haven’t been bloggin much lately… Do know that I am still here!

Oh, and isn’t that sweet little face above just oh-my-goodeness adorable?!  Her newborn photos were a ton of fun…  She had the cutest, squishiest cheeks ever and I could have just played with her all day long!

I am thrilled (and shocked, actually) to find out that Sugar Shots Photography has been nominated for the KPRC Houston’s Best Contest for the catagory Children’s Photography!!  I did not expect such a wonderful surprise…  But, now that it has been laid in my lap, I’m just dying to win (of course!)!!

This little lady was terribly sweet and had some of the loveliest long lashes I’ve ever seen!!  Plus, I can’t forget to mention this…  Despite her long 45 minute trip to our session location, despite falling asleep on that long drive, AND despite the muggy heat…  She was a gem to photograph!

Eeeeeek!!

I think I totally adore every single photo I took last night of these two wonderful love birds…  Really!   Not only was there session full of fun (they happen to be my sister-in-law and soon to be bro-in-law!), but the hugs, kisses, love, laughter, etc was also in adundance!  …. And it is totally evident in there photos!  I love it when that magically happens!  :-)

These two adorable little ones were simply the sweetest little dolls ever…

Check out little man’s high kick here (above and below)…  Little ones are SO flexible!  It’s incredible!

Brother loved being in front of the camera… He snoozed and snoozed and let me snap millions of him looking so peaceful.  And then, he smiled and oooooohhh, joy!

Sister was as sweet as can be too…  I love these next two of her.  Simply adore them both!

What fun it is to photograph gorgeous, thrilled women who are about to become moms for the first time….  The excitement from new mom-to-be is just simply contagious!  It’s hard to be around a pregnant lady and NOT become totally over-joyed with her, ya know?!  It’s such a wonderous time full of so many different emotions…. with a sweet, cuddly surprise waiting at the end of the nine month time period!

This lovely, little momma-to-be featured in this photo session happens to be a really good friend of mine!  She was great fun to photograph her with her bright, gorgeous blue eyes and beaming smile…  plus, it was fun just hanging out and laughing!  L + M: I hope you enjoy this tiny sneak… The best is yet to come!  :)

See… She seriously has some knock-out blue eyes!  I wonder if baby will too?!

Oh!  Here’s L + M’s first little “baby” – Riley!

From what I’ve heard, Riley has enjoyed all the fun baby toys that have been appearing in the home after the many fun showers… I’m sure she’ll be a good big sis!

… this precious momma makes 37 weeks pregnant look like a breeze!  She had an adorable little tummy, energy to spare (or so it seemed), and a glowing smile full of love for her charming family!

I think it’s safe to say that this little one is excited to become a big sister… She was aaaaall about her unborn baby sister!

One cake. One birthday boy. One family.

Totally wonderful family session centered around the sweetest little birthday boy!  My camera thoroughly enjoyed snapping away at his darling big, brown eyes and luscious wavy brown hair…  Siiiiigh.  What a cutie!

This little guy happens to not like cake….  He honestly wanted nothing to do with the sugar sweetness that is cake!  He did enjoy “finger painting” with the red icing though!  ;)

This has been a super busy week in my world…  4 more Mini-Sessions for Party For Layla and 4 Full Sessions have all taken place since this past Sunday!  WOW!  That’s a lot to handle in just 5 days time, especially when you got 3 little rugrats running around the house!!  (Btw, if you are waiting on me to get back to you by email or phone, please be patient with me….  I am trying to move through everything as fast as I can!  Ahhhh!  :-D )

… I have managed to edit their entire session.

I loved every minute of working with them because they are such nice people!  And, just like I mentioned on facebook last night, I was smiling all the way through the editing process as I finished their session… Their happiness and love for eachother is contagious in the form of a smile!  :-)

And, with his new favorite dragon…  Which he was veeeery animatedly telling us a story about. 

See.  Look at the antimation here!  So adorable!

He went on and on with his cute little story for about 6 or 7 minutes… It was seriously awesome and the cutest thing ever!

This last one is probably my favorite.  It was a highly unexpected shot with a super-antimated-storytelling expression!  I LOVE it!  :)
